How to expand and broaden audience & sales

The Music industry uses many techniques in order to expand audience and increase sales. After releasing their original song, it is often the case that the song on it's own will not bring in enough revenue to release another song. This is where the art of the music video comes into it as a video then makes the song more well recognised and increases sales to bring in more revenue. There is also the role of advertisement which enviably in music record companies biggest chance to bring in more money. There are many techniques of advertisement including making their own website with fan pages for the band which allows fans to sign up for memberships where they can sell them merchandise. There is also posters and digipaks which is another part of our coursework which can broaden sales. There are a number of different advertisement schemes that companies use to enhance their artist and their song.
