In order to identify the purpose of our music video we outline some of the purposes to a music video;
Firstly, a music video is made for advertisement to advertise and promote the song to become more popular. The music video has to be eye catching and appealing to the audience in order to draw attention to the artist's song. It has to illustrate the song and promote the message that the song is trying to make. It must appeal to the visual audience otherwise the audience won't want to watch it and therefore make be put off the song even if the music is actually good. A music video has a purpose to express the artist's emotions and therefore market an image of the artist and what they are about. The music video can also tell a story of what the song may be trying to say, with a visual image of the song it may be easier to understand for the audience into what is going on. The music video is meant to raise the profile and awareness of the the artist's song as they may not be well known and could be become regarded highly due to their music video.
