My Top 3 Music Videos

As part of our research, one of the first things we had to do was say our top 3 favourite music videos, below are mine going from 3 to 1;

3. Thinking of Me - Olly Murs


I like this video as it is a good use of using special effects to manipulating someone's dancing and it's done in a very small space. As well as being a confessed Olly Murs fan, I think his character suits the video well as he shows his chirpy personality and flexible dancing moves with a very nice scenery on the Thames in London behind making it a typically British music video.

2. Lazy Day - Bruno Mars


I really enjoyed this video as it was totally unexpected as the song symbolises a very relaxed day where the artist Bruno Mars does nothing however they use four dancers around Bruno Mars with monkey masks to show how Bruno has slight monkey like looks. The humour with the four monkeys dancing around makes the video humerous to watch and is one you can't take your eyes off. The dancing is also done purposely in a funny way to add comedy to the video making it one enjoyable to watch.

1. Last Friday Night - Katy Perry


This video is one of my favourites due to how modern and creative it is, the usually very attractive Katy Perry dresses up as a geek and then wakes up from a party that she clearly doesn't remember. The costumes by all in the video are absolutely amazing and very colourful which makes it look attractive and catching to the eye. This shows diversity from Katy Perry and the ability to look attractive even in geek and nerd like costumes which also makes the video popular.
